Follow the Great Migration action, year round
This mobile tented camp has two locations within the Serengeti - Kusini in the South (December - March) and Lamai in the North (July - October). It is set in mixed acacia thickets with views of swaying grasslands and a permanent waterhole that attracts a variety of interesting creatures. The camp has been carefully thought out and offers all the creature comforts you could wish for. The best part? The thundering hooves of the Great Migration are never far away.
At the lodge
The main area comprises two side by side tents, one lounge tent and one dining tent, each practically adorned with comfortable but functional furniture. Attention to detail enables maximum comfort and ensures that all space is utilised effectively. The campfire is the perfect place to sip on a sundowner and revel in the magic of the Great Migration as you immerse yourself in the surrounding noises of the night.
Kimondo Camp has eight en-suite tents, each with their own view of the seamless, unending wilderness. The tents are evenly distributed on either side of the two central tents. The decor is classic and simple, with all the necessities required to provide refuge from the midday heat, comfort and ultimate relaxation. Each tent has a small private veranda with a recliner style chair from which to admire the stunning landscapes.
The Serengeti is a national park and, as such, activities revolve around daytime game drives in the heart of the Great Migration. There is no better way to approach and encounter the wildlife of this region. If you fancy a change of scenery, a cultural visit can be arranged to meet the surrounding community and learn the ancient traditions of the local Kuria Village people.
