Olive Exclusive

The best place to start or finish your Namibia itinerary

Olive Exclusive

Boutique, luxurious and personal. The Olive Exclusive is where we recommend all our guests base themselves when overnighting in central Windhoek. Best described as a luxury guesthouse, their seven stylish suites are in high demand, so if one's free for your dates, grab it! The owner, Roger, and his friendly team, will keep you well entertained during your stay. Located in a quiet residential corner of the city, 40 minutes from the international airport, it attracts mostly safari-goers and a few corporate clients, plus locals who come to dine and soak up the panoramic views from the hotel's terrace.

The hotel

The main areas are all housed within one building; modern and minimalist in design. There's a reception area, a lounge area and a large dining area which spills out onto the terrace with views across the city, and hills beyond. There's a small communal pool with loungers. Meals can be enjoyed inside or outside.

The rooms

There are three Junior Suites, the lead in rooms, if you can call them that, are up near the main building, close to the communal pool. A further four Premier Suites are located down some quite steep steps, overlooking a small olive grove. The main difference is that the Premier Suites have private plunge pools on their terraces. Each room is different in design, but all are similar in that they are very spacious, ooze comfort and are thoughtfully decorated.

Experiences

Most guests at Olive Exclusive will have planned their stay around a restricted flight schedule. If you only have an afternoon here, you will no doubt want to maximise the opportunity to acclimatise, relax and make the most of the hotel's facilities. If you want to explore further, the hotel staff can arrange local restaurant bookings or day tours in and around Windhoek, it's a short drive to the city centre.
