A small boutique hotel renowned for its lavish style and glorious setting.
Tintswalo Atlantic is tucked away by the ocean at the foot of a winding private driveway below the famous Chapman’s Peak. Sheltered in a pebbled cove in Table Mountain National Park, Tintswalo looks out across Hout Bay, just a few minutes’ drive from this lively harbour town, yet feels remote and secluded. This boutique hotel is an opulent tribute to its stunning natural surroundings, skilfully crafted from timber and glass to make the most of its spectacular coastal setting. Ten suites, plus a vast hillside double suite, offer lavish accommodation in a beautiful spot within easy reach of Cape Town and its endless attractions.
At the lodge
The main guest area is centred around a vast open-plan dining room and lounge, lavishly decorated with chandeliers and elegant furniture, with a cosy fireplace. Vast glass panels open out onto the timber deck, with the ocean just a few metres below. A state-of-the-art interactive kitchen offers guests the chance to watch the chefs at work and pick up a few tips. Wooden walkways and hidden paths lead to the heated swimming pool at the far end of the lodge.
Ten double suites are set along the shoreline, each of which is beautifully designed with an individual island-style theme. Decor is magnificent throughout, with personally crafted artworks and a unique feel of bygone glamour with all the modern comforts. All are en-suite, and have stunning views of Hout Bay. The sumptuous hillside Presidential Suite has two double suites joined by a spacious lounge and living area, and offers an exquisite private refuge for up to four guests at a time.
