White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa is located on the renowned beach of Paje on the East Coast of Zanzibar. The resort has been designed by one of the best African architects, Neil Rocher, and offers uniquely designed villas which cleverly blend luxury with surrounding natural beauty. Each villa has an outdoor bathtub and a private swimming pool. The sparkling white sandy beach of Paje is one of the very best places in the world to learn kite surfing and White Sand has a great water sports centre specialising in kite surfing.

Zanzibar White Sand has 3 bars so you can choose where to have your favourite cocktail - from the chilled out beach bar to the roof top champagne lounge with its stunning panoramic views. The main restaurant offers first class cuisine blending Zanzibarian inspired dishes with International accents and flavours, this stylish restaurant overlooks the large central pool and out to sea.

The rooms

There are a total of 11 spacious villas, 5 have one bedroom, 5 have 2 bedrooms and then there is a super duper Presidential Villa. All the villas have their own swimming pool, a quirky outdoor bathroom and plenty of private garden. The resort also has Cinnamon Garden Rooms which are individual luxury rooms which do not have a private pool but do have access to the communal pool. Tropical gardens surround each villa which ensures maximum intimacy.

Experiences

The main activity is kite-surfing which is arranged for beginners and experts alike from the resort's dedicated water sport centre called Zanzibar Kite Paradise where they also offer snorkelling, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. Stone Town is an hour drive across the island and is definitely worth a visit to see the fascinating mix of Arabic and African cultures. Pampering treatments at the Spa come highly recommended where the therapists use local seaweed, spices and coconut in their therapies. Guests can also enjoy the steam and sauna here too.

Wildlife


In the gin-clear ocean around Zanzibar, marvel at bright corals with over 450 species of tropical fish, octopus, stingrays, moray eels, green turtles, hawksbill turtles, dolphins, humpback whales, and if you are very lucky: whales sharks and manta rays. In the coastal forests, spot the colobus and Sykes monkeys, bush babies, more than 50 species of butterfly, as well as brilliant bird species.
