Oddballs' Enclave Camp

The main area is an open-sided wooden deck comprised of a couple of different sitting areas with comfortable chairs and couches, a small, funky bar that makes good use of an old mokoro, and a communal dining table. Some parts of the deck are shaded by roofs of wooden poles, while others are open to the sky. The decor is simple but comfortable and the area has beautiful 360 degree views of the surrounding swamps.

There are five "mini-Meru" tents that sleep a maximum of ten guests. Each is raised on a wooden deck and has its own small, private balcony with superb views and a couple of camping chairs. Inside, there are either two single beds or a king, and a luggage rack. Each room has its own bathroom a few metres from the back of the tent. They are equipped with a flush loo and a clever bucket shower - with hot water!

Activities are the same at both the Oddball's camps - the focus is on exploring the surrounding channels and lagoons in a mokoro (made by your guide) and the islands - on foot (there are no motorized activities on offer). The best option at Oddball's is to do a multi-day mokoro trail, camping out in the wilderness with your guide. They'll provide everything you need except for a sleeping bag. Whatever you do, you'll have your own private guide, who is invariably from the local village, Sedibana, which you can visit. Typically, activities take place in the early morning and late afternoon, but if you're keen on a whole day outing, the team will happily pack a picnic lunch for you.
