This was my very first time using a travel agent, and to be honest, I was initially so nervous about handing over total control of our trip to someone else. Timbuktu completely blew us away. I will definitely be using them again! Kristin was incredibly patient with us throughout the entire process. She helped plan our honeymoon with immense attention to detail, crafting it exactly how we wanted. She answered all of our questions with incredible care, always focusing on what was most important to us as a couple. Where Timbuktu really shines is execution. They facilitated all of our travel while we were in Africa, from transfers to bookings, and everything ran like clockwork. Traveling between destinations can be stressful, but our experience was entirely seamless. If you are hesitant about trusting someone else with your dream trip, rest assured you are in the best hands with Timbuktu. They took all the stress out of our honeymoon and left us with nothing but incredible memories. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had an outstanding trip through Kenya and Rwanda, thanks to a well‑designed itinerary that matched my interests perfectly. Third time I’ve used Timbuktu and rep Kristin J for booking a trip. I’ve completed trips to Tanzania and Namibia organized with Timbuktu. Each trip went incredibly smoothly. This time I’m heading to Brazil. Kristin J worked with me to develop a trip for the Pantanal to (hopefully!) see jaguars. Over several weeks she patiently helped me through several iterations to book a land and water based trip that is within my budget and will happen during the best season to maximize the potential of jaguars sightings.

Kristin didn’t just send us generic suggestions; she listened. She took the time to understand what kind of experience we wanted—pace, comfort level, budget, and the emotional weight of a once‑in‑a‑lifetime gorilla encounter. Every recommendation felt intentional and tailored, not templated.

Set up Morocco excursion in span of just a few weeks. Solid riads choices and our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Loved the cooking class!
