I would highly recommend Timbuktu services to anyone traveling to Africa and not knowing where to start! Jenna took care of everything and listened to all of my possible desires to form an amazing itinerary! She was super responsive and always very helpful!

This will be our second trip with Timbuktu. We have never used a travel company before because we always figured we could plan it ourselves. With these huge international trips, Meagan Yash has leveled up the itineraries. She has changed the way we travel. Everything is thought out for us. We didn't have to pay any of the tour guides because it was already covered when we arrived. I 100% recommend.

The trip was well organized but there is room for improvement

Amazing knowledge, advice and they are always on top of every detail. Joanna and Jenna out did themselves in what they offered and how they solved unexpected changes. So professional, communication is their priority as well as detail. They accommodate to your every need.

Kristen Jessup had everything meticulously set up and followed through immediately on last minute issues that came up during the trip. For example, we ran into an issue with a gate fee at a game reserve, but the problem was the accommodation didn't convey to our transport that it had been paid - Kristen had it taken care of and ensured that the correct entities talked to each other and got it sorted out within a few minutes. She was also totally on top of COVID-19 testing requirements and made adjustments and cancellations as necessary. We were VERY happy with all of the drivers and accommodations as well as the overall itinerary and suggestions for additional activities. I have travelled extensively, but never through a travel agency and was pleased how easy and seamless everything was. I have already recommended Timbuktu and Kristen to everyone I know that travels!

The service provided by Jonty at Timbuktu was exceptional. He helped me plan and customize my safari to Zimbabwe down to the detail - preferred lodges, mode of transport, food preferences etc. He suggested itineraries, provided tips and advice and responded promptly to all emails. It was such a pleasure to work with him and I would highly recommend Timbuktu for travel to Africa - they are truly experts.

This was our third trip to Africa, and our standards have crept up with each. I'm glad to have found Catherine to organize this last one. My biggest goal was to find someone who "got" what we were looking for. She did just that and created an amazing custom itinerary for us. The lodges she selected were superb and had the kind of vibe and experience we were after. The execution of the trip went flawlessly (ok, there were some minor hitches, but they weren't due to any fault of Timbuktu, but to the vagaries of international travel with lots of moving parts). Throughout the process, Catherine has been super attentive and responsive. She has years of experience and a great team behind her. I would use Timbuktu again in a heartbeat.
