The property

There is a large dining room and lounge area with a distinct African ambience, as well as a large terrace for brunching or dining under open skies. Meals can also be privately served around the campfire in each villa’s boma, which is ideal for families and small groups, who prefer their privacy. Complimentary internet access is available. Guests can get a workout at the small but well-equipped gym or read a book from the small library.

The rooms

Indlovu River Lodge provides accommodation in spacious villas and suites on the river banks. The villas are hidden under towering trees, with a portion of the Drakensberg mountains providing a magnificent backdrop. They are built in true African style with beautiful stone-clad walls and thatched roofs, and have their own kitchens, swimming pools and bomas ensuring exclusivity and privacy. The suites have rooms and en-suite bathrooms. There is a superior honeymoon suite with a king-size bed and an open plan bathroom.

Activities

There are two normal game drives per day and separate game drives for children, as well as bird watching and bush walks. The lodge also offers photographic safaris. It has unique, sunken photographic hides which allow photographers to capture close up images, taken from the water level of the waterhole. There is a small but well-equipped gym and table-tennis facilities. Game drives, meals, activities and sessions at the photographic hides can be arranged to suit each family’s or group’s needs.
