What to do in Peninsula Valdes
Only just attached to the mainland, Peninsula Valdes is an impressive and rich conservation reserve. You'll do most of your exploring on foot, crossing salt flats and vast steppes, and walking in close proximity to colonies of southern elephant seals, sea lions and Magellanic penguins on the coast, and amazing seabirds nesting in the wetlands. In the right season, watch gargantuan orcas launch themselves onto the beach in search of lunch! Take to the water on a whale watching trip, kayak in the Golfo Nuevo or snorkel with curious sea lions.
