We recently returned from an incredible safari through Kenya and Tanzania, and we couldn't be happier with our experience working with Timbuktu Travel. Joanna and her team were wonderful from start to finish. They listened to what we wanted from our safari and designed an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. They helped us prepare for every aspect of the trip, answered our questions along the way, and made sure everything ran seamlessly once we arrived in Africa. From the accommodations and guides to the transfers and overall coordination, everything was exceptionally well organized. We were also celebrating a milestone anniversary, and Joanna and her team went above and beyond to make it special. They arranged anniversary surprises at every stop, including cakes, traditional celebration songs, and even a private dinner. These thoughtful touches made an already amazing trip even more memorable. We also want to recognize Joachim, our private guide for the final four days of our safari. He was friendly, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. He made the final part of our journey particularly enjoyable. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. We saw incredible wildlife, stayed at wonderful camps, and never had to worry about the logistics. Timbuktu took care of everything, allowing us to simply enjoy the adventure. We can't thank Joanna, Joachim, and the entire Timbuktu team enough for creating such an unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend this travel agency highly enough!!!!! Use them for sure!! They handled all my travel in both Kenya and Ethiopia for 3 weeks and could not have done a better job. A trip of a lifetime to see Eastern Africa.! Every aspect of the trip was exceptional. Timbuktu coordinated everything. We were treated like royalty. The accommodations and the staff at every lodge were top notch. Gorilla treking was nothing short of magical. Safari on the Mara and in the crater were amazing. Hundreds of thousands of animals within feet of our vehicle. 14 rhinos, over 40 lions, two leopards, two cheetahs, countless elephants and giraffes. Thanks to Joanna and the entire Timbuktu for delivering the experience of a lifetime!

This truly was a trip of a lifetime, and we wanted to share some of the highlights. The hotels were all amazing, and every single transfer was prompt. We felt so well taken care of throughout our travels. We loved the animals, the game drives, gorilla trekking, and golden monkey trekking, and eating breakfast and lunch out in the bush was such a special touch. We even got to see the Big 5 all in one day, traveling from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara! A special shoutout to our first driver, Ken. He truly set the tone for what an engaging game drive should be. His knowledge of the animals and nature made every drive memorable.

This is a wonderful travel company to work with. Tessa has been an excellent associate to work with, she has shown great compassion for her job and is so helpful and knowledgeable and was able to help me organize a memorable trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend her.
