A smorgasbord of food and wine pairings awaits in fabulous Franschhoek, a distinctly French village and region that’s known as the culinary capital of the Cape. Wander through the gardens of Babylonstoren and marvel at the edible delights, before filling your shopping basket in the artisanal deli. The first wine tasting of the day takes place in the cellar at Babylonstoren, but you’ll also enjoy two more (one paired with cured charcuterie and one with South African-inspired canapes) at nearby boutique estates. Last on the list is a visit to Le Lude, makers of the region’s finest MCC, for a very special, bubbly-inspired tasting.
