The Lower Zambezi National Park has over 50 kilometers of Zambezi River frontage, and stretches out over the Zambezi Escarpment for another 5 000 square kilometers. Although hot, September is a beautiful time of year to explore the Lower Zambezi as the elephants, buffalo and myriad of antelope species congregate along the water’s edge, followed closely by large prides of lions. The leopards also wait in the large trees that hang over the river.
