The property

This beautiful hotel is split over a number of levels, rising up from the parking area beneath the terraced gardens into the main guest area. The owner’s collection of artwork is a feature throughout the elegant lounge, dining room and vast central stairwell spiralling up to the suites, and the overall feel is one of opulent grandeur and sophistication. The garden is simply stunning, with a marvellous swimming pool running into natural rock pools at the far end.

The rooms

Each of the five suites are unique, with lavish décor and a magnificent sense of style. The Lion’s Head Suite has wonderful mountain views, the Emperor is the classic one, the King and Queen Suites open onto separate balconies which can be linked together for a family or group of friends, and the Steinway is home to a private library and magnificent Steinway Grand Piano. The cherry on top is the grand Presidential Penthouse that takes up the entire top level and contains an elegant lounge and drawing room, a private dining room, two bathrooms, and an outdoor terrace with 360-degree views.
