Abbey Manor

There are several places to put your feet up, including a lounge with open fireplace (lovely in winter), a cosy library, a well stocked bar offering a good selection of local wines, and an elegant breakfast room. To one side of the Manor is a sheltered courtyard and sun terrace with a large solar-heated swimming pool and on the upper balcony is a hot tub with far-reaching views across the city and out to sea. Wifi is available in all areas.

Each of the nine guest rooms is individually decorated, with understated natural tones and elegant antique furnishings. Original features include open fireplaces, ornate chandeliers under high ceilings, and huge windows framed with lavish drapes. Some of the ground floor rooms have direct garden access, and all are en-suite, with views over the gardens towards the city centre, and Table Mountain as the backdrop. The Grande Rooms offer all the same facilities but are slightly larger.

Cape Town is rightly regarded as one of the world's top tourist destinations, with activities to suit all interests. Abbey Manor is perfectly positioned for exploring the city centre, with a number of excellent restaurants, bars and shopping centres a short walk from the front gate. Further afield, outdoor adventure activities include hiking, touring the scenic Peninsula, and exploring the pristine beaches and nature reserves. The historic winelands are within easy driving distance, and tours can be arranged if required.
