Amanzi Camp

Effortlessly designed to the make the most of the serene environment and decorated in soothing natural hues, it doesn’t get much more relaxing than the main area at Amanzi. Swaying hammocks call invitingly and the infinity pool is just the ticket for a refreshing dip. The splendid position on the river ensures game viewing can continue throughout the day from every sofa and armchair and, happily, even at mealtimes from the elegant dining area.

4 tents are raised on stilts and connected to the main area by a network of elevated walkways, allowing 4-legged visitors to pass by (mostly!) undetected. The rooms are simple and rustic but with every creature comfort you could wish for and, we think, rather stylish with vast beds, hand-woven rugs and snug armchairs. The en-suite bathrooms are covered but there’s an outdoor shower with a view to complete the glamping experience.

Activities at Amanzi are tailored as much as possible to suit each guest and game drives will always only have 4 people in a vehicle which keeps the focus personal. Explore the mighty Zambezi by boat, cruising amongst the wallowing pods of hippo or get to grips with a canoe and discover the smallest channels and tributaries. Walking safaris are also available with very knowledgeable guides and cover the varied habitats lining the river.
