About Ang'ata Migration Ndutu Camp

Get front-row seats to the Serengeti's migration at this seasonal camp
One of nature's most awe-inspiring spectacles is the Great Migration, when herd upon herd of wildebeest cross the East African plains in search of fresh pastures. Following ancient routes, they linger in the southern Serengeti to give birth to newborns that are miraculously able to run as fast as their mums within 48 hours!. That's where Ang'ata Migration Ndutu Camp comes in, a well-priced migration camp that straddles the short and long grasses the animals feed on. With its excellent staff and simple, temporary structures, the camp is just the place to view the action of the migration in the south first-hand.

Property details

The property

A canvas lounge in the centre of camp serves as the gathering point between activities. With mesh sides that enable you to keep an eye on the action from the comfort of one of several plush sofas, it also offers a small bar and tea and coffee station, and plugs for charging electronic devices. Simple, well-prepared meals are served in the dining tent.

The rooms

The 12 mobile tents are spacious and breezy, with canvas walls and mesh panels ensuring wide-open views from your bed. One is a family unit, capable of sleeping four people comfortably. The en-suite bathrooms have large basins, proper flush toilets and hot-water showers. Bed configurations include a single king-size option or two or three twin beds, all with mosquito netting. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, perfectly adequate for recharging after a day in the bush.

Activities

This camp focuses on the migration and there's certainly much to keep you captivated: bewildering numbers of herbivores, keen predators, newborn calves finding their feet. That said, there's more happening than just the migration and even if it remains at the centre of the plot, it would be remiss to ignore the Serengeti's other delights. For a change of pace, take a guided walk to discover the smaller sights, or a morning hot-air-balloon flight for some out-of-this-world photo opportunities.
