About Ang'ata Serengeti

An authentic tented safari experience in the Serengeti National Park
Explore Seronera's vast wilderness from Ang'ata Serengeti Camp - a wonderful tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. Game drives, balloon safaris and private bush lunches are only a booking away, and the camp offers wonderful viewing opportunities from the open-sided lounge and dining tent. In a day's drive you can explore some of the surrounding sights, from the Moru Kopjes and the Maasai Kopjes, to the Grumeti River and Retima Hippo Pool. Back at camp, fire-side drinks and swapping stories as the sun sets will become part of the routine.

Property details

The property

The communal areas at Ang'ata Serengeti are simple and serve a purpose: a gathering spot. After a long (but thrilling) day of exploring whichever section of the Serengeti you chose for the day, sitting back in a large leather couch with a cold drink is pure bliss. It's the perfect place to swap stories with other guests and plan what to do next! When your stomach starts to rumble, head to the dining tent for a delicious, freshly prepared meal with one of the wildest views in the world.

The rooms

With gorgeous views of the surrounding plains, all 12 of the canvas tents are the modern pioneer's dream. Each tent sleeps between two and three guests and is furnished with either a single, twin or double bed (with animal print covers!) and mosquito-net drapes. After a refreshing shower in the modest ensuite bathroom (there are flush toilets too, in case you were wondering), enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before heading out to into the vast Serengeti.

Activities

The camp's position allows easy access to most of the Serengeti's regions. Choose a new area each day and explore it by 4x4 game drive or by air - yes, hot air balloon safaris are a thing here! With guided experts taking you over the rough terrain and covering a large part of the Serengeti National Park, you may well come across some or all of the Big Five, and, if you're into it, you'll be sure to capture some magnificent photographs. For a private bush lunch or dinner, be sure to let the reservations team know in advance.
