Set under pillowy, cream canvas, the main area happily provides indoor and outdoor dining, while the 'baraza' fire pit is an idyllic spot to swap stories, enjoy a drink, or roast marshmallows in front of the fire. The impressive Studios House could keep you busy for a while with a safari shop, games room, art gallery, and a photographic studio for examining and editing the shots from your most recent game drive. The pool area is sublime with plenty of shaded loungers and views of Mount Kilimanjaro beyond.
Sharing the same look as the main area, there are 10 tented suites positioned to ensure misty Mount Kilimanjaro is always in view. The tents boast a super-king, extra-length bed cooled by an overhead fan, personalised drinks armoire, and a writing desk. A dressing area with plenty of closet space leads into the bathroom, where you'll find a double shower, vanity and an outdoor shower too. Screen doors open onto a private patio, perfect for doing some wildlife watching from your rocking chair.
Kimana Sanctuary is a true wildlife haven with superlative numbers of antelope, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest, as well as the more elusive leopard, cheetah and serval. It's most famous for the huge herds of elephant, however, and remains one of the last strongholds of Africa's Super Tuskers, elephants whose tusks weigh more than 45 kgs each and often drag along the ground. Angama Amboseli enjoys unrestricted game drives where other vehicles are a rare sighting and the schedule is completely flexible.
