



The main area is big and less intimate than other tented game lodges. The dining room is restaurant-style, with separate tables and chairs seating over 100 people. Food is buffet. There is a comfortable lounge and bar area where drinks can be enjoyed, and a swimming pool with plenty of recliners for guests to relax in. There are also conferencing facilities and a business centre, and an infirmary with a nurse to assist those feeling a bit under the weather.
There are 30 tents - eighteen with double beds, nine with twin beds, three with triple beds. All are en-suite and spacious, with dressing a area and lounge. A small private deck overlooks the river and is the perfect spot to check the animals coming and going. Tents are fixed on wooden structures so they’re sturdy and it looks luxe. Tents further away from the main lodge are quieter and so you have a better chance of seeing more wildlife.
The main activities are the morning and afternoon game drives, both at fixed times. This area is known for its abundance of the Special Five: reticulated giraffe, Grevys zebra, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx and the gerenuk, and over 400 bird species. There are other activities on offer, like guided bush walks, sundowners and massages, but enquire first whether it carries an additional cost. The camp about a 30-minute drive from the Samburu National Reserve, so day trips are possible.
