Property details

The property

The sprawling communal areas of Avani Victoria Falls Resort are evenly spread across the sizeable property. There is a well appointed reception area, sprawling lounge facilities and a buffet styled dinning setup. These spaces are adorned with simple but comfortable furniture, bright traditional colours and patterns of Africa, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The gardens are well maintained and the large swimming pool surrounded by recliner chairs is frequented by zebra, impala and giraffe.

The rooms

Enjoy relaxing in one of three types of room, standard, family or a suite. Spread over two floors, the 212 rooms all benefit from views of either the manicured garden or inviting swimming pool. The style is in keeping with the rest of the lodge with bright colours and patterns adorning the walls, simple comfortable furniture and a few of life luxuries such as a TV, a coffee station and en-suite bathroom, complete with a bath and shower.

Activities

Apart from Victoria Falls in all her glory there is a list of activities to keep you busy from dawn until dusk. Relax with a rod fishing for the infamous Tiger fish or take a safari in the neighbouring areas on a horse, elephant, vehicle or by boat. For the more adventurous there is whitewater rafting, bungee jumping and gorge swinging. Topping this all off there is helicopter and Microlight Flights over the falls, moonbow photography and local cultural tours.

What you'll love

What you'll love

The direct access to the Falls – we’re talking a mere hop, skip and a jump through a private entrance and you’re at the water (so don’t jump too far!).
Insiders tip

Insiders Tip

If you’ve got a few hours to spare, lazing by the pool is a lovely way to pass the time, especially if you’re lucky enough to be joined by some of the resident zebra that amble breezily around the grounds.
Something to think about

Something to think about

The incredible location is hard to beat, but just bear in mind that this is a large resort that’s loud and proud of its (overtly) African style and may come as a shock if you’re emerging from the bush!
