About Bogota Marriot Hotel

A slick spot in Bogota's vibrant Zona Rosa where the service is always impeccable.
Located on a bustling thoroughfare in the Zona Rosa, the Marriot AC is perfectly positioned for enjoying all the sights and spoils of Bogotá. And there is certainly much to see and do in this vivacious city from exploring its oldest neighbourhood, La Candelaria, to treating your tastebuds to local cuisine – perhaps prepared with your own hands. The hotel is well-styled with elegant yet eclectic decor and slick, uncluttered spaces. In the evening, there is a range of dining options and a casual bar area for grabbing a creative cocktail, wine or ale.

The property

In the lobby, a great pentagonal light installation dominates the space while the intimate sitting areas carry through a cool, grey colour scheme. Breakfast is served at the AC Kitchen and includes fresh pastries, local meats, fresh fruit and eggs made to order. On sunny days, enjoy your OJ out on the terrace. For lunch and dinner, the AC Lounge offers a menu of traditional Spanish cuisine, whilst QUN incorporates delicious Colombian ingredients into Peruvian and Japanese fare.

The rooms

With their clean lines and understated decor, the rooms at the Marriot AC have a classic look. Expect a spacious feel, brown suede couches to cosy up in, and King-sized, pillow-top beds draped in crisp, white linens for the best night's sleep. Other amenities include a large TV, minibar, aircon and coffee/tea facilities, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a rainfall shower. The windows are wide, offering glitzy views of the city streets below.

Activities

Get to know the city on a walking or biking tour, stopping off at the fascinating Botero Museum to learn about the history of Latin American independence, marvelling at the impressive collection at the Gold Museum, and exploring the street art – you can even stop for a chat with a local artist. You can also spend time perusing local markets, coffee tasting or learning how to make your own empanadas. And for the best views in town, make sure to ride the cable car to the top of Monserrate.

Despite having sound-proofed windows, the streetside rooms can be a tad noisy but the hotel does provide earplugs.
