On the exterior, Casa Andina blends in perfectly with the surrounding architecture, featuring beautiful ashlar masonry portals that transport you back in time. Inside, the common areas - which include a business centre and gym - are modern and unassuming, but the rooftop pool and terrace are beautiful and the ideal spot to relax on a sunny day and admire the cathedral backdrop. A delicious buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant, and there are local and international dishes to choose from for lunch and dinner, all with a side of amazing views.
There are 58 rooms in the Casa Andina Select, all offering a functional but cosy atmosphere with simple and unfussy furnishings. The King-size beds are dressed in high-quality linens and all rooms come with desk space, minibar, air conditioning and flatscreen TVs. Some of the smaller superior rooms have a private terrace (interior) and all the larger suites offer incredible views of the main square, as well as a separate living room.
As soon as you walk out of the hotel, you’ll see the striking Basilica Cathedral to your right spanning an entire block. Definitely worth the visit! There are plenty of other emblematic churches to check out too, as well as the Santa Catalina monastery, and the museum that houses the famous Inca mummy “Juanita” is less than a block away. Plenty of other day tours are also on offer and the hotel concierge is always happy to help arrange them. Foodies will also love tasting the famous local cuisine on a wander through the streets.
