The lodge beautifully couples indoor with outdoor living. The restaurant, which accommodates 100 guests, has large windows, and there's a bar, library and a comfortable lounge area. You can gaze at the 180-degree view from the terrace, cool off in the pool and enjoy the breeze in the beautiful gardens. Conference facilities and a business centre are available, and wi-fi is good. Meals (varied and delicious) are served in the restaurant, on the terrace with candlelight or in the garden.
All of the 20 luxury, safari-style rooms at Cassia Lodge have views of the lake, along with en-suite bathrooms, aircon, televisions, minibars and wi-fi, and balconies. Guests can choose to stay in a single, double or triple guest bedroom, each decorated in understated shades of cream and beige with splashes of rich auburn and showcasing vibrant photographs of Ugandan landscapes and people. Sleep deeply, wake to the tropical dawn chorus and enjoy the distinctly home-from-home atmosphere.
Cool off in the pool, head down to Lake Victoria for a spot of canoeing or jet-skiing, or a sunset cruise. Visit the equator on a day trip or go on a guided game drive to some of Africa's best game reserves. The Uganda Golf Course is a short drive away, and with Kampala being in easy reach, be sure to visit the National Museum. The staff at reception will help arrange all activities.
A bold and dynamic capital city with a good dose of history to satisfy culture vultures.
