The shiny, slick facade of the Crowne is both imposing and inviting, and the lobby is a hive of efficiency – busy but well-staffed to cope with the constant turnover of coming and going guests. Dining options include a double story bar; Braza, an all-day restaurant that overlooks the terrace and swimming pool; and Sikia, the hotel's most elegant fine-dining offering. The Crowne sits within walking distance of a number of banks and embassies, but it's also easy enough to arrange a taxi into the city - just ask the concierge. Uhuru Park in the city centre provides a bit of green reprieve amidst the high rises and Nairobi National Museum is a repository of heritage. Away from the city fracas is the Karen Blixen Museum, which sits on the property where the author wrote her famous adventure/romance, Out of Africa.
