After hours of underwater exploring, you can enjoy one of three resort restaurants. For refreshing ice cold beers, fruity cocktails and homemade pizzas, head to Dolphin's Pool Bar, or try Ngalawa Restaurant for fun, themed evening meals and live entertainment against the beautiful ocean backdrop. During the day, relax by the swimming pool (but get there early for a sun lounger!), and you'll also find all the classic resort trappings on site - snooker, darts and table tennis.
All 96 rooms have either a garden, swimming pool or ocean views, and a private balcony from which to admire them from (or to get stuck into your holiday read!). The interiors are fresh and simple, and the beds extraordinarily comfortable - perfect to sink into after a day at the beach. You can choose between the one-bedroom luxury rooms, or upgrade to a two-bedroom suite to enjoy a daily fruit basket, fully stocked mini bar and a 30-minute complimentary massage.
You might not realise it, but the Doubletree is situated a mere two minute walk from Nungwi village centre, where you can wander through the fresh fish market, sampling as you go. For a taste of adventure - cameras at the ready - visit the historic Stone Town, strolling through the winding market streets and admiring the elaborate architecture, or venture to Prisoner Island to marvel at the giant tortoises. Closer to home, there's a multitude of water-based activities to get stuck into and, of course, that beautiful beach.
