Paternoster Dunes is the perfect antidote to modern city stresses. The Guest House & Spa is nestled amongst the dunes on the beachfront in the quaint fishing village of Paternoster in the Western Cape. The Atlantic Ocean is literally on its doorstep. Paternoster is one of the last traditional fishing villages on the West Coast, famous for its pristine beach, whitewashed village charm, laid back lifestyle and friendly inhabitants. The stylish guest house has five luxurious bedrooms, some opening directly onto the beach. It also has a guest lounge, a heated swimming pool and a spa.

The main areas consist of an intimate lounge with a fireplace and a dining area, which is used for breakfast and dinner when requested. Breakfast is also served on the patio sometimes. The bar area is flanked by book shelves with reading material, DVD's and games for guests. The central open air courtyard has a solar heated pool, sun loungers and day beds. There is an in-house spa with a range of beauty treatments.
There are five individually decorated rooms with soothing names like Vanilla, Rose and Cinnamon. The three luxurious ground floor sea-facing rooms allow you to walk straight onto the beach from your private patio. You can't get much closer. All five rooms feature Percale cotton linen, electric blankets, satellite television, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a minibar fridge. Complimentary Rooibos amenities, bathrobes, a hairdryer, and a nightly turndown service are also included to make your stay more comfortable.
Relax on the patio, or in the guest lounge and watch the whales in season. Take a dip in the heated swimming pool or be pampered with a massage at the spa. Enjoy long leisurely strolls along the endless beach, or go fishing, kite surfing, sea kayaking, fishing, or horse riding. Dine on fresh Cape West Coast lobster at a local restaurant or just curl up in your room to snooze, read a book, or watch a movie.
Waking up in the morning and stepping out your veranda doors and onto the beach. The hotel is on the ‘quiet’ side of the village and you probably won’t see another soul.
If you’re looking for a light bite at lunchtime or fancy staying in for an evening and watching the waves crash against the shore, ask the hotel to prepare a cheese platter to nibble on. Perfect!
The courtyard room is in the interior of the hotel and doesn’t have a veranda or sea views.
