Without a 'stitch' of concrete involved, this completely movable (if required!) camp gives a nod to the outdoors. It has the feel of a lovely, old-fashioned home and you almost forget it's half-tent. Despite its rustic nature, it loses none of the comfort factor and the space is classic yet fresh. Filled with wooden furnishings, a dash of art on the walls and a cosy dining room, you'll discover a different world tucked away under dreamy Acacia trees.
At Entamanu Private, you'll find four timber, glass and stretched-canvas rooms, two of which are two-bedroom family suites. All rooms come with an en-suite and the family rooms have two large bathrooms. The rooms bring the idea of 'foraged materials' into the design, creating a warm and simple look, and come complete with gas heaters for those chilly nights on the crater rim. To complete the picture, you'll find delicate woven lights, cosy linens and a balcony with a view.
With a top-shelf spot on the edge of the crater, you'll have access to the Ngorongoro Crater just after dawn for a game drive - and you'll often beat the crowds too. With a reputation as one of the best wildlife areas on earth, you'll see anything and everything from zebra to the show-stopping Big Five. Otherwise, head off on a highland walk, joined by your guide and a Maasai scout, and experience this incredible world through their eyes. You may also enjoy a visit to the camp's Maasai neighbours, one valley over.
Entamanu is owned by Nomad Tanzania, their mission is to unlock life-enhancing opportunities wherever they're needed.
