The dining room sits somewhere between a banquet hall and a country kitchen and checkered curtains, parquet floors, low wooden ceilings and a central wood-burning stove contribute to a cosy (if not maybe a touch dated!) atmosphere. Here, you'll be treated to a fine menu of global fare, from Indonesian fish cakes and salmon mousse to lamb shank and apple pie. Sunday brunches are an extensive buffet fit for royalty so make sure to leave room. Outside, the gardens are a network of rolling pastures and treed alcoves, all encompassed by the ubiquitous green hills.
All the rooms at Foresters are comfortable and very adequate and all have wifi, air-con and even heated towel racks. The nicest of them have four-poster queen-size beds with en-suite bathrooms, whilst fireplaces and high ceilings add a touch of grandeur. Carpeted floors help keep things warm under the feet. Less premium rooms have side-by-side twin beds, lower ceilings and smaller bathrooms.
Swaziland offers plenty of outdoor adventures for both the hardcore activity-seekers and slightly softer! Try a country walks or a more vigorous mountain hike and enjoy the waterfalls, plunging gorges and generally incredible scenery. The area is also a bird lovers' delight and several species span the ranging elevation. Horse riding and mountain biking are especially rewarding here, what with the undulating terrain and broad open spaces. Golfers will also be delighted by the Usuthu Golf Course adjoining the property.
Rewarding wildlife-watching, phenomenal scenery and a plethora of excellent activities await in the chilled-out kingdom.
