About Four Seasons Marunouchi

A petit hotel right in the energetic epicentre of Tokyo where no detail is overlooked.
Overlooking the unceasing hustle and bustle of Tokyo Station and in an incredibly central location — very convenient, thank you very much — the Four Seasons Marunouchi is surrounded by the brightest of city sights. We’re talking the picturesque Imperial Palace, age-old temples, and the famous Tsukiji fish market, all within easy distance. Back at the hotel (which spans the top four floors of a prominent tower), the Four Seasons is one of the smallest and most intimate luxury hotels in Tokyo. This means top-notch details that others in the city gloss over from menus with a farm-to-table ethos (the majority of ingredients come from Hokkaido) and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.

Property details

The property

With swathes of dark wood, metallic-hued furnishings and over-sized ikebana flower arrangements, the Four Seasons is sultry, glamourous and everything you would hope for from a Tokyo hotel! At Motif (the hotel's only restaurant), you’ll find contemporary Art Deco pieces contrasted with stunning Japanese custom furnishings - and diners even enjoy views of departing bullet trains through a wall of windows. At the Social Salon, afternoon tea includes the likes of mini wagyu burgers, truffle popcorn and 30 different teas and if you’ve got a little room left, book into the two-room spa with its glitzy treatments and small onsen bath.

The rooms

The Four Seasons has just 57 rooms – including 9 suites – all designed with light wood panelling, contemporary artwork, plush carpeting and clean, simplistic lines. Large beds dressed in high-quality cotton bedding dominate all rooms while en-suite bathrooms are a vision in marble and glass and equipped with rainfall showers and egg-shaped baths that enjoy views over the city. Be warned, however, the rooms aren't particularly high off the ground so be sure to draw the curtains for the utmost privacy.

Activities

From the historic Imperial Palace gardens to the cutting-edge architecture of Odaiba, Tokyo offers a kaleidoscope of experiences. Just steps from the hotel, guests can delve into the world of luxury shopping in Ginza or witness the synchronicity of life at the busy Tokyo Station. Cultural enthusiasts will enjoy traditional Kabuki performances, visiting ancient temples, and immersing themselves in Tokyo's vibrant arts scene. And for the foodies? Taste your way around the area with a trip to Tsukiji Market before learning to make sushi with a local chef.
