Gondwana Tented Eco Camp

The camp's communal area has a cosy living-room feel, with a bar and dining area (meals are served at a single large table), and lounge furnished with plumply cushioned sofas. Between outings, take a dip in the pool, and enjoy the rustic comfort of this endearingly intimate camp, with a drink (soft or not) in hand.

From the main area, a path leads to five simple yet perfectly adequate tents. All are slightly elevated on stilts, with open-air front porches overlooking the ravine. Each room sleeps two in a queen-sized bed with high-quality linen – perfect after a long, productive day. En-suite bathrooms have a flush toilet and hot water. Best of all is is the clean simplicity, and the real sense that just a few millimetres separate you from the bush!

Book a three- or five-night conservation experience for your family or group of friends, with activities tailored for your interests – tracking lions perhaps? Shorter outings, recreational fishing and treasure hunts are great for children. Days are spent monitoring wildlife and taking part in ongoing conservation projects, interspersed with hearty meals. Evening game-monitoring drives are followed by sundowners and dinner at camp. The schedule is full but rewarding, with plenty of time for simply enjoying this beautiful wilderness.
