With its earthy tones and light touch, Ishara is really in tune with nature. This spirit flows over into its dining, which infuses local ingredients (many of them grown on the property) with global cuisine, accompanied by wines from the Pangolin Cellar. For something extra special, enjoy a private dinner on the Observation Deck – strategically positioned for the best view. In your down time, head for the Aya Spa where an assortment of treatments await or soak in the temperature-regulated pool (as you soak up the vistas beyond).
Set atop cantilevered platforms, the main accommodation option is Ishara's tented River Suites. Romantic yet understated, they feature beautiful white oak beds, olive-green armchairs and polished teak floors. The bathrooms are indoor/outdoor with a huge vintage tub on the deck. The largest offering is the Villa Suite, which is centred around a shared lounge and dining area, while an infinity pool and fireside deck waits outside. It also enjoys a private host and vehicle. All suites have a fun but functional hatch for entirely contactless room service.
The wildlife viewing is incredible in this corner of the Masai Mara, which you can enjoy on game drives in one of Ishara's custom-built Land Cruisers, led by your master guide. You could spend some time getting to know the flora and smaller fauna on a guided nature walk around camp. Ishara also offers the chance to learn how to throw a spear or make beautiful beaded items. Of course, a hot air balloon flight over the plains could never be disappointing either.
