Jabulani Safari Stay Pay Special
The walls may be made of mud, but make no mistake, Camp Jabulani is a superbly luxurious safari getaway. Indoors, it's all rich wood furniture, crystal glasses and silver service. The meals are feasts, the wines are fine, the lounge area has wireless internet and the bushveld views from the wooden deck are rewarding. There's a bush spa and a gym to work off your indulgences (a visit may well be needed!). You can get married here too – there's a function room in this lovely wilderness.
Camp Jabulani’s six suites are secluded, with canvas walls that roll up to reveal the surrounding wilderness. Each suite is air conditioned, has a lounge area and fireplace for cold nights, an en-suite bathroom with a stone tub and glass-walled outdoor shower, and a plunge pool. The beds are huge, with pure cotton sheets and draped mosquito nets. The larger Zindoga Villa has two individual suites linked by a lounge and serviced by a private chef, butler and game ranger.
The lush and varied vegetation supports dense populations of wild animals. Watch and photograph the Big Five, herds of antelope, giraffe and zebra gathered at waterholes and predators on the prowl. Kapama has five separate prides of lion as well as leopard, cheetah, spotted hyaena and other smaller carnivores. Take a game drive or look out for the more than 350 recorded bird species. Visit the Endangered Species Centre or float above the bushveld in a hot air balloon.
Modest in size but not in wildlife, Kapama is perfect for a laidback safari in very capable hands.
