About Jungle Beach Resort

The tropical jungle escape you've been dreaming of - with a side of beach too!
This is an eco-resort unlike any other. Set just outside a remote Sri Lankan village and perfectly placed between lush jungle foliage and dazzling beaches, you'll feel like you've woken up in heaven. And if not heaven, then definitely a treehouse in Neverland, when you discover the dense green trees and teak walkways and bridges that criss-cross through the resort. It's romantic, exciting and relaxing at different turns and perfect for families and honeymooners alike. In fact, just about everyone will be charmed by it.

Property details

The property

The resort sprawls across 10 acres of land, hemmed by both jungle and beach. There's an incredibly romantic treehouse restaurant and bar (try the coconut rum cocktail), and the Uga Spa is just nearby. There's also a pool, shaded by the trees and beautifully cool at all times. Head to the restaurant for a romantic dinner a deux and choose from a whole host of options from seafood, to grilled meat, to pasta. If you want to mix things up, head down to the beach bar and restaurant for a little al fresco luxury.

The rooms

There are 48 thatched rooms sprinkled across the property, maintaining just the right amount of eco-chic amid the foliage. Lagoon cabins offer glorious views especially from the upper levels, jungle cabins are nestled in the thick of the vegetation, and beach cabins will lead you right out into the sandy paradise beyond. The jungle cluster cabins are perfect for groups, keeping you all nearby but offering a good deal of privacy too.

Activities

Whale-spotting boat trips, diving and snorkelling in Pigeon Island Marine National Park, jet skiing across the open waters, visiting local temples, cultural tours of the nearby town, trying your hand at deep sea fishing, learning how to make traditional kites... and that's not even everything!

Something to think about

Something to think about

This level of remoteness comes with a price...that it's pretty tricky to reach. But once you're ensconced in the jungle you'll forget all about the journey.
