Tented comfort set in a breathtaking landscape
This permanent tented lodge offers wonderful safari isolation from a private concession. Bush simplicity is incorporated into the style of the camp, creating a rustic charm. The open air thatched structures offer inspiring views of Amboseli Plains, Kilimanjaro National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro. However, the draw card is not the big 5 but rather a unique experience away from the crowds.

Property details

The property

Large, simply appointed area, dining and lounge are side-by-side often spilling into each other. Private dining tables are splashed out across a sand floor, under an open air thatched roof. The lounge has comfy chairs and sofas sporadically placed to invite conversation, promoting the warm atmosphere present throughout. This leads onto the blazing campfire surrounded by directors chairs, the perfect place to end a day on safari.

The rooms

The camp consists of fourteen well appointed tents with thatched permanent structures covering them, decorated with an eclectic mix of African furnishings and linen, that fit in beautifully with this wilderness environment. The en-suite bathrooms have built-in showers, breath-taking views from a private veranda that either overlooks the nearby plains or kilimanjaro in the distance.

Activities

Leisurely game drives into the surrounding areas showcase the region's wildlife or spend an even taking a nocturnal safari, unearthing some of the rarely seen species of the park. Followed by a Maasai village visit and cultural exploration, opening your eyes to an intriguing African people. The locally guided bush walks, include a picnic in the wilderness, keeping you busy most of the day. End the day with cocktails and a picturesque, white capped Kilimanjaro sunset.
