Built by the legendary Norman Carr in 1986 and home to the man himself for many years, Kapani was one of the original lodges in the South Luangwa. From the 1st December 2015, the lodge will be closed to guests but remain at the heart of Norman Carr Safaris as the base for their camp operations and 5 sister camps, Luwi, Nsolo, Kakuli, Mchenja and Chinzombo. For guests looking for a stopover pre or post safari in the superb bush camps, we recommend Chinzombo – the ultra sleek and very stylish new addition to the NCS portfolio, only a few kilometres down river.
