Kavinga Safari Camp

On the cliffs overlooking the Ruckomechi riverbed and the Zambezi escarpment, this small camp offers a different take on Zimbabwe's much-loved Mana Pools National Park. Set in a private concession within the park, the camp allows for completely flexible game viewing (it isn't bound by daylight hours, i.e. night drives are permissible). It also offers warm, unpretentious hospitality. The Ruckomechi River, the broad, grassy floodplains and the mahogany and ebony forests are exquisite, as is the diverse wildlife these ecosystems support – elephant, lion, leopard, hippo and crocs galore to a host of aquatic and bird species.
