Property details

The property

Kensington Place is focused around the glistening solar-heated pool with spectacular views of Table Mountain where you can tune out with a good book and let the world go by. Breakfast is served all day, so don't worry about setting an alarm. Lunch is casual but healthy. Supper is private-dining style, but you are spoilt for choice with neighbouring restaurants a short stroll from your front door. For cocktail-lovers, the bar is always open.

The rooms

Its 8 bedrooms are all individually designed with their own unique blend of contemporary European décor and African art. Each room enjoys its own private terrace with jaw-dropping views of Table Mountain and the city bowl. Kick back and enjoy all the standard touches, including air-con and wi-fi and a few thrown in for good measure such as beach bags and in-room pamper sessions.

Activities

Cape Town is very much at your disposal. Dust off your driving gloves and head down the peninsula to where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans collide—Cape Point—with a pit stop at the quaint Olympia Cafe in Kalk Bay. Make sure you take Chapman's Peak coastal drive back, carved into the cliffs of the west coast. If you're feeling energetic, then grab your hiking boots and take one of the many Table Mountain trails. If you're not feeling quite so sprightly then there is always the cable car to the top. Head up for sunset with spectacular 360 degree views of this majestic city.
