The Kilindi Zanzibar resort consists of fifteen Eastern-styled, white-domed Pavilion guest rooms and a main pavilion set in 50 acres of lush tropical gardens on a secluded powder-white sand beachfront. It was originally designed for Benny Andersson - from the Swedish pop group ABBA - and achieves a perfect balance between Scandinavian minimalism and Middle Eastern architecture whilst encouraging an intimate, 'back-to-nature' appeal. The rooms consist of 15 eastern-styled pavilions made up of domed rooms topped with blue glass. Each pavilion is set in its own private tropical garden and is served by a dedicated butler. The pavilions have two plunge pools, a circular living room, a bathroom and one or two bedrooms. A unique 'rainfall' shower room is attached to each of the Pavilion rooms. White wooden-slatted shutters with glass-less windows afford spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.

Take a walk down the beach to where the fishermen arrive. At low tide, you can stroll for miles and miles and a cocktail on Kendwa Beach is the reward at the end.
