Leeu House combines traditional Cape Dutch heritage with Franschhoek's unique French-Huguenot architectural style, and the finished product is beautiful. The serene and secluded gardens feature a large collection of sculptures, and the 15-metre heated outdoor pool is ideal at all times of year. Leisurely meals are served in the bright and airy Conservatory restaurant, or al fresco on the terrace; otherwise, pop down to sister property Leeu Estates for more options, or into the village itself. There are twelve beautiful bedrooms to choose from, either rated classic or deluxe and with or without a terrace, and all individually styled. The house has elegant sophistication down to a T and sisal carpets, heavy curtains and plenty of natural linens feel opulent yet relaxed – and you can most certainly put your feet up! To complete the heavenly picture, all bathrooms have marble floors, double vanity tops, free-standing baths, showers, underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

Go for a refreshing dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool while enjoying the magnificent mountain views or relax in the cosy lounge at Leeu House. If you feel like venturing out, you can take an easy stroll to the award-winning restaurants, galleries and boutiques in the area. Or you can use the complimentary bicycles or shuttle service to travel between Leeu House and its sister property, Leeu Estates where you can use the spa, gym and other facilities.
