Property details

The property

The Lodge has two open fireplaces and plenty of space for relaxing inside. The large dining table can seat fourteen people easily. There is also an outside dining table with a large parasol where you can enjoy al-fresco meals. The covered verandah has large sofas, a huge deck and a sunken fire-pit. The heated swimming pool has been carved into the side of a hill and has amazing views of Palala Valley. There is also a thatched cabana for shade.

The rooms

The Observatory sleeps four adults and three children in two double rooms and a children’s triple bunk room, while the main lodge has eight freestanding chalets and an additional family chalet. All the bedrooms have fireplaces and there are endless places inside and outside the house to relax and soak up the atmosphere, including a spectacular sunken fire pit. The sheer size of the rooms and incredible feeling of space will take your breath away. The villa is serviced by a butler, cleaning staff and a chef. Satellite Wi-Fi access is available.

Activities

After dinner, guests are encouraged to wear their silver spacesuits and climb up to the Waterberg Observatory, whose copper dome houses two telescopes focused on the night sky. Astronomer Philip Calcott will navigate the dense constellations here, or you can follow him to the Jacuzzi deck for a detailed Starlit Safari. Other options include game drives, quad-biking, horse-riding, sky-diving, rock-climbing, and fishing in the exclusive-use reserve. One can even soar above the dramatic canyons, streams, and wildlife on board a private helicopter or paraglider.
