Located in the famous seaside resort of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains along the west coast of Réunion Island, Hotel Les Creoles is an ideal base from which to explore the island's beaches, volcano and cultural riches. It's a 10-minute walk to the soft sands of Saint-Gilles, and 15 minutes to a range of quirky local restaurants, but if you want to stay put, you'll find a large swimming pool, outdoor bar and glorious tropical gardens at the hotel. The property

The main feature of the hotel is large, glittering swimming pool, around which everything else is based. Overlooking the water, there's a snack bar serving tasty poolside breakfasts and light lunches, and a chilled-out lounge where martinis and Pina coladas are served until the evening. Slightly further back, there's a pool table, outdoor gym and the large reception area, complete with Wifi.

Set in pretty, plantation-style buildings around the swimming pool, Hotel Les Creoles offers studio and duplex suites, which all come with pool-view balconies. Each apartment-style room includes a kitchenette, which is ideal for preparing basic meals and teas and coffees. The modern interiors are finished with splashes of bright pink, tropical plants and stunning photos of the island's many natural wonders. Each en-suite bathroom is equipped with fluffy towels, a hairdryer and locally made, delicious-smelling toiletries.
