The main area at Little Vundu is separated from the tents by a narrow channel of the Zambezi, crossed by a small foot bridge. It's a simple pole and canvas structure that basically contains a dining table and chairs. Breakfasts and lunches are served here while dinners are set out beneath the stars. Although simple, it has a great view and is a superb spot to relax and enjoy a drink while watching the profusion of wildlife around you.
There are five new canvas and mesh Meru-style tents, each measuring 30m². They are simple in their design but suitably comfortable. Each has its own outside seating area and a large ensuite outdoor bathroom with a shower and other necessities. The bedrooms have twin beds covered by mosquito nets and superb views of the river. They are brilliantly positioned to make the most of the animal traffic through the area and you're likely to receive at least one visit from an elephant during your stay.
If you're looking to rub noses (or trunks) with an elephant or be incorporated into the local wild dog pack, this is the camp for you. The personal, professional guiding is flexible which means you can really do things as you like, however, it's prudent to follow your guide's lead as they have a knack for finding the action. Be it on a game drive (which frequently turns into a walk - in order to follow tracks or approach an animal on foot) or on a canoe, or a full morning's hike through the woodlands, you're guaranteed plenty of adventure and rewarding game viewing.
