About LUX* Saint Gilles Resort

Light and bright Reunion island luxury along the shoreline
Reunion island, a lush volcanic paradise in the Indian ocean with over 17 miles of palm fringed beaches, is a haven for naturalists , adventurers and sun worshippers. Facing the aqua-blue Lagon de l'Hermitage, LUX Saint Gilles sits pretty as a French-styled postcard in 7 acres of immaculately tailored gardens, surrounded by palm trees. You might need to brush up on your French to avoid any miscommunications, but the staff do their best to make sure your stay is filled with days of pampering or adrenaline inspired activities.

Property details

The property

A palette of crisp white and grey slate roof tiles marks out the exceedingly attractive outside facade of the grand entrance into Saint Gilles resort. An airy, grand reception area, with stylish checkered tiling and wood panel flooring sets a very high first impression of luxury and understated glamour as you arrive. French shutters open up to the beautifully manicured gardens surround by palms trees lead down to a small fence between the main hotel grounds and the beach beyond.

The rooms

Spaced along the leafy grounds of the resort are 174 rooms and suites with views out over the gardens or the lagoon. White shutters draw back to open balconies with a small seating area and into the bedrooms, decorated in a minimalist, modern style with light grey and shades of blue to reflect the tropical island beyond. The bathrooms tend to be on the small side but the overall feel to the rooms is of neat and clean place to unwind.
