
The expansive dining and lounge area is perfectly positioned on the dunes to to take full advantage of the spectacular views across the ocean. Quirky trees poke through the wooden floorboards, and high ceilings of makuti thatch keep things cool and breezy. Furniture is colourful and fun, and there are plenty of private areas to kick back and relax in, but if you're feeling sociable, head down to the boma or fire pit and chatter into the night.
Full of character and decorated in traditional, funky materials, are all the chalets connected by wooden walkways to the main dining and beach area. Five 'Ocean View' suites provide just that - the most astonishing views of the ocean beyond - and private decks from which to enjoy it from. The Family Villas have two ensuite bathrooms and a private pool on the deck. Beach Villas also have two rooms and are perfect for groups. Outdoor showers under the stars and surrounded by the island fauna and flora are a great touch.
With the Inhaca Island marine reserve right on your doorstep, snorkelling is a must and the underwater wildlife is magical. Other watery activities include deep sea fishing (in a different area!), boating, kayaking, sea blading, rock pooling and traditional dhow trips. On land, the lodge will be more than delighted to organise a sand bar picnic for you, or head to the shores around Inhaca Island and explore the little shops and restaurants. And then there's the beach, golden sand stretching out ahead of you, and crying out to be lazed upon.
