



You'll find a lovely swimming pool and sun deck at the main lodge, offering panoramic views of the flowing river and surrounding forests. A pretty outdoor boma is located on a central island in the river, accessed by a wooden bridge - early morning breakfasts are served here under the hanging acacia trees, whilst dinner is served under the sparkling African night sky. The lodge is surrounded by an electric fence for protection from the wildlife.
Accommodation is provided in 16 split-level chalets set deep in the riverine forest for total privacy. Stone floors and thatched roofs keep things cool and airy, and walls are adorned with attractive artefacts to to create a rich African ambience. Each has an en-suite bathroom with rain shower, and wooden decks overlooking the river and forest offer a perfect siesta retreat. Mod-cons include air-conditioning, mini bars and tea and coffee facilities. Upgrade to a luxury suite for a separate lounge area and outside shower.
Madikwe River Lodge employs highly qualified rangers who will accompany you on your choice of activity. Activities include two daily game drives (in the early morning and late afternoons), bush walks, bird safaris, and star gazing from the boma. Kiddies game drives are offered between 8:30 am and 10:00 am. To unwind, guests can swim in the lodge's swimming pool or relax in the main lounge with a book. The lodge also offers conference facilities with team-building activities.
