With rich, dark mahogany vaulted ceilings and polished Madagascan Rosewood floors, the main areas at Maradiva are beautifully and understatedly luxurious. Food-wise, there's two restaurants to choose from (save an evening for the Teppanyaki Counter - delicious!), as well as private, in-room dining. There are also two bars, Breakers and The Beach Bar, facing out towards the ocean for the best views of the sunset, as well as a fitness centre, tennis court and swimming pool. And then the spa - a temple of rest and relaxation with a treatment menu as long as your arm. Divine!
Scattered around the beautiful gardens, and all hidden from view, are the 65 elegant villas. There are several different option to choose from - some have ocean views, some have gardens and some even have direct access to the beach - but every one has a glorious and very private swimming pool and vast open-air terraces with day beds and sofas. Decor is modern and relaxed and every last detail has been thought of. Each has no less than three butlers to attend to your every need - so much so, that you might never leave!
There are myriad of activities to keep you busy at Maradiva. Start off your ocean adventures at the Boathouse, and organise snorkelling trips to the lagoon reefs, water-skiing, kayaking or windsurfing. There's also sunset cruises and deep sea fishing to be enjoyed, as well as the chance to swim with dolphins (worth getting up early for). An 18 hole championship golf course is a 15 minute drive away, and the onsite Peter Pan Club will keep the kids entertained, while you visit the spa...
