The suite is exquisitely positioned in a grove of sausage trees, rain trees and waterberries, right on the banks of the Zambezi. Built of recycled hardwoods and canvas and entirely powered by solar energy, the suite is one self-contained exclusive unit, independent from the rest of the lodge. In its centre, you'll find an elegant open-plan lounge and dining room that opens out on to a veranda with a private pool. Down a few stairs, there's a lovely fireplace that's open to the stars - perfect for that post-dinner tipple.
The suite has two bedrooms that sleep a maximum of four adults and one child (sharing). Built from billowing beige canvas with high ceilings, the decor has a distinctly North African feel to it and is sophisticated, stylish and calming. There are gorgeous views of the river and surrounding bush facilitated by wrap-around mesh on three sides of the bedrooms, and both have ensuite bathrooms with glorious stand-alone tubs, a shower, twin basins and a separate W/C. A loo with a view to say the least!
A stay here is designed to combine visits to Victoria Falls with a laid back safari in this beautiful, yet largely undiscovered national park. Besides a day trip to see the world-famous waterfall, there are a lots of other activities to keep you busy: white water rafting, helicopter flips, sunset cruises and Afternoon Tea to name but a few. Back at camp, early morning and late afternoon game drives in a private open 4x4 render good sightings of elephant, buffalo and plains game as well as wild dog and prides of lion. Guided walks and boat rides on the Zambezi are also rejuvenating and interesting and showcase a different side to the landscape.
