Property details

The property

A major part of the camp's appeal lies in its simplicity; guests are made to feel very welcome in this small, intimate and classically styled setting. The sitting area is effectively protected from the elements, providing comfortable shade in which to relax, read one of the library's books, or sit and share safari stories— all with an ice cold drink at hand.

The rooms

There are wonderful views from all five of the safari tents which are home to comfortable beds made up with soft, quality linen and furniture made of locally sourced wood including the Sycamore Fig Tree, also referred to as the tree of life. The bathrooms are ensuite and open-air, with on-demand hot water showers and flushing toilets.

Activities

Enjoy your days with a variety of activities, from walking safaris where you can appreciate the environment on foot with excellent guides, to spending time on the water on a boat cruise or of course exploring the area on an open vehicle game drive. The river banks are a delight for avid birdwatchers and the camp has also created hides for optimum wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities.

The impact of your stay

Musekese Camp is owned by Classic Zambia for which Conservation is a central mission, ensuring the symbiotic thriving of nature and local communities. Their organisation, Musekese Conservation, combats poaching in Kafue National Park, and they invest in guide training to nurture stewards of Africa's parks, led by renowned trainer Kyle Branch. Sustainability is ingrained; camps run on solar power, waste is managed consciously, and local procurement minimises ecological impact. Through skills training and employment, Classic Zambia empowers communities, reducing reliance on illegal activities like poaching.
