When you do wish to venture out and explore the vibrant city, the hotel isn't far from the Maasai Market, museums and art galleries. Mirroring its own international guest list, the Serena has a buffet of dining options, from Pan-Asian cuisine to French pastries - your tastebuds will never get bored! When it comes to dining, there is nothing but choice. The rooms

The Serena's 199 rooms and suites are polished, elegant and comfortably furnished. Some enjoy a private balcony, while each room as a view of the garden or shimmering city skyline. The rooms have fine wooden beds in crisp, white linens (either Queen or King-sized) and authentic textiles in bold patterns and rich colours. The bathrooms feature large mirrors, a deep soaking tub and, in some, a walk-in shower. The Garden Suite enjoys a private garden patio and dining pergola, while the State Suite boasts a private dining room, kitchen, bar and entrance.

Activities

At the hotel, enjoy a good pampering at the Maisha Spa or join the in-house art, cultural and heritage tour. If you're in town for a day or two, there's time to feed endangered Rothschild Giraffe at the conservation centre, visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or enjoy an 'Out of Africa' experience at the Karen Blixen Museum. Head off to the Maasai Market, where you'll browse hundreds of stalls selling hand-made jewellery, baskets and sculptures. If you're jetting on to a safari, the hotel is only 7 km away from Wilson Airport.
