The double storey thatch and stone guest area is open at the front and sides, with a spacious and comfortable lounge downstairs, a library, and a small curio shop. Stairs lead up to the cosy bar and relaxation deck, and a sheltered dining room which is occasionally used during rainy weather. Most meals are served on the delightful beach deck beneath towering fig trees, or on the crescent of sand in front of the lodge.
Five stunning thatched chalets are set back from the water’s edge, each with a unique design and layout, with beautiful organic interiors, solid hand-crafted furniture, romantic four-poster beds beneath draped mosquito nets, and deep rock-pool baths in the outdoor en-suite bathrooms. Two totally self-contained villas are situated a short walk from the lodge – a two-bedroomed family unit, and a romantic honeymoon villa – both offering complete privacy and the luxury of a private chef and butler.
Snorkelling conditions are perfect in these warm crystal clear waters, with an incredible diversity of colourful fish and dramatic underwater rock formations to explore, and stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, and fishing trips out in the deeper waters. Guided bush walks often include a visit to the local village and community-run organic farm. For something really special, spend a night on a private beach in a romantic four-poster bed, with just a mosquito net between you and the starry skies.
Snorkel, swim or just chill on the wild and wonderful shores of the Mozambqiue side of Lake Malawi.
